Our People

Francesca Trotta

General Manager

Francesca earned her MBA in Shipping from Alba Graduate Business School in Athens, along with an MSc in Aviation and Maritime Navigation from the University of Naples. Prior to her tenure at Iblea, she gained valuable experience in business development with companies focusing on digitalizing the shipping sector. Additionally, Francesca served as a consultant in the aviation industry and contributed her expertise in researching new technologies for both the UK government and multinational corporations.

Francesco Amenta

Technical Manager

Francesco earned his M.Eng in Marine Engineering from Federico II University in Naples. He embarked on his professional journey with Augustea in 2006, beginning as an intern in the Technical Department. Over the years, Francesco has advanced within the company, holding various positions and taking on diverse roles in areas such as PMS, Technical Operations, Dry Dockings, Vessel Sales & Purchase, and Newbuilding. Additionally, he has contributed to numerous external projects throughout his career with the Group.

Captain Spyros Grammenos

MΗSQE Manager/ DPA/ CSO

Captain Grammenos' academic pursuits centered on Maritime Law, Operations, and Management, and he has become a seasoned professional in maritime security operations. With a solid foundation of 14 years at sea, serving with esteemed Shipping Tanker Companies as a Deck Officer, he transitioned to shore-based roles. Throughout his career, Captain Grammenos has held a spectrum of positions spanning Marine Operations, SQE (Safety, Quality, and Environmental), Security, and Vetting Departments, progressing from Superintendent roles to key positions in Top Management. Holding a Captain Class A' license, he is also an associate member of prominent shipping and security organizations.

Stephen White

Claims & Insurance Manager

Stephen began his shipping career in 1993, holding roles in Post Fixing, Operations, Chartering, and Claims with various shipowners. After earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law, he joined a leading International Group P&I Club as a Claims Manager, gaining valuable experience from both owners' and insurers' perspectives. In 2013, Stephen joined Augustea as Claims & Insurance Manager, handling a wide range of claims, including P&I, FD&D, and H&M. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Insurance, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Teresa Esposito Corcione

Purchasing Manager

Prior to assuming the role of Purchasing Manager at Iblea, Teresa dedicated 18 years of her career to the Augustea Group. Her journey began with an internship during her studies in Maritime Economics at the University of Naples, Parthenope. Progressing within the company, she served as an assistant in the Operations Department before transitioning to the Purchasing Department as an operator, where she continued to excel. Teresa's invaluable experience in the shipping industry now spans nearly two decades, underscoring her deep knowledge and commitment to the field.

Captain Aris Verouchis

Operations Manager

Captain Verouchis graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos, Greece in 2006, launching his career as a bridge officer with a longstanding Greek shipping company. He attained his Master's license in 2015, marking a significant milestone in his maritime journey. Transitioning to shore-based roles, he joined a bulk carrier shipping company in 2019 as a Marine Superintendent, later advancing to the position of Operator in 2020. In April 2022, Captain Verouchis brought his wealth of experience to Iblea, assuming the role of Operations Manager.
